Mini Update
over 5 years ago – Mon, Jan 07, 2019 at 11:13:52 PM

Hello everyone.

I will start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year.  I hope you all had great Christmas Season.

This is only a mini update, as we are awaiting a few more things to be finalized before we update you fully, but what I can tell you is that:

1- the games are done, but the printers have still not sent us the final pictures

2- the fulfillment centers have given us quotes on shipping

3- once everything is finalized, Mike will be sharing, only for those who are willing, a place where donations to help with shipping.  Again, ONLY THOSE WHO WANT TO send additional funds to help ship the games.  This will not change the the speed at which they will receive the game, as the games will be shipped together so as to not incur more expenses.

Moving forward, updates will happen only as there is new information to update you on.  I found that trying to, at this point in the process, have something new to tell you when there isn't necessarily anything new to give is not productive.  I promise you that progress is being made, and that you will be updated on it as new information is available.   I know that there will be some who will not be content with this, but this is what is going to happen.

The games are done!...
over 5 years ago – Sat, Nov 03, 2018 at 12:43:14 AM

The good, nay, great news is, that the games are done, and paid for! I have yet to see pictures of the final product but I expect things to turn out well considering the samples I saw earlier.

The less good news is that the last $4500 CAD for the printing invoice came from my bank account. While I have a good job and am dedicated 100% to fulfilling this Kickstarter, I also don't have endless resources.

Right now I am trying to decide how to proceed. My plan was to send games to three locations, UK, USA, and Canada, and have them shipped by fulfillment companies from there. However, since there is no money left in the LLG coffers I'm not sure that is a great idea as I'm not sure if I can pay. I haven't got an exact updated shipping cost but shipping Nautilus Industries cost me right around $10,000 CAD, and was about half as many games.

The other option I thought of, was to have all the games shipped to me and try to send them out as I can, although I'm not sure that is best either. The only benefit to that route would be the ability to ship the games along with miniatures if we could run another Kickstarter for just minis. That being said, not sure how that would pan out either.

The nice thing about a miniature campaign would be that the sculpting is 100% done. The molds would need to be created and minis made, but the sculpts are done, and absolutely epic! (If anyone knows how to make molds let me know!)

Any positive or interesting suggestions are encouraged, I'm trying my best here folks, sorry for all the failures so far!

Printing Completion ETA
over 5 years ago – Tue, Oct 09, 2018 at 11:39:31 PM

Hi all.
We finally got a estimated completion date from the printers.  The date as of this moment is November 1st.  Once that is complete, the shipping of the games to each distribution center will commence. We are re-finalizing the quantities going to each distribution centers so that it will be all set for that point.

Kickstarter Project to check out!
As mentioned in a previous update, Peter Wocken, the graphic designer of Whelps To Wyrms and Nautilus Industries has helped form a new board game design company, Maple Games.  Their first game, Dragon Boats of the Four Seas is now live on kickstarter.  Go check it out, and if you like it, back it.

Response recieved from Printers!
over 5 years ago – Tue, Sep 18, 2018 at 01:41:11 AM

Good News everyone!
Just heard back from the printers.  So apparently, as Mike had posted a while back, when the changes made to the printing were confirmed, that confirmation email somehow ended up in the spam folder.  He apologized and has informed us that they will start printing ASAP!  We are not sure exactly what that looks like for a time frame, but this is the progress we were waiting for.

Update

Hey guys
So most of the requested surveys have been resent.  Once I have the finalized addresses, I will be getting shipping quotes for distributing agents.
There is no new information from the printers, but we are still in the queue.  Mike is awaiting a reply from them on the status of the printing.

Someone mentioned Discover: Lands Unknown to me and that is the thing I am most interested in since GenCon.  The unique concept is pretty neat, but the whole survival theme of the game is pretty interesting to me.  What games are intriguing you lately?
