Hey y'all. John has sent me the last of the slayers. Now all we have to do is finish choosing their skills and abilities. Here they are in no particular order.

Hi all. Since you enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes for the box art, I have created another for you to cover the process of creating the slayers. Ever since I started receiving the photos for the create a slayer levels, I have been getting a steady stream of initial sketches and the shortly after our approval, the final image. John Ariosa has been knocking them out of the park and I think you will be happy with the work he has been doing. So without further adieu, may introduce the first 10 slayers (there are still a few that aren't complete yet, and a few backers that we are waiting on images for).
What do you think of them? Let us know in the comments.
Progress report

Hi Folks!
I just want to send out a quick update to let you know how things are going.
Miniatures
Chad is working on the initial miniatures and should have some progress images for me soon. He originally had scheduled in the 3 dragon miniatures during this time, but not the slayer miniatures as, at that point, they seemed to be a distant hope. Since they became a reality he has worked them into his schedule but there will be a significant gap between this batch and the rest, as he has other projects that were scheduled already. He thinks that the rest of the miniatures will be done around early December. At this point I'm not sure how much that may delay the final project but I'm working on the details as I can.
For now, instead of just doing the three dragons he is actually going to do two of the dragon sculpts and a couple of Slayers to give us a great idea of what to expect.
Nautilus Deluxe
These copies should ship in the next week or two but the exact date is uncertain. All of the deluxe copies of Nautilus are stored at a friends place in Indiana, and he just had heart surgery this last week. So he will get the games out when he can, but I won't be pushing him.
Box
I have updated the box size and components list for the manufacturer, and am waiting to hear back from them. As soon as I do, I can get Peter going on the graphics to get those finalised.
Rules
Rick is working on the next draft of the rules so we can get them laid out into a rules book and edited.
As always, if you have any questions or comments post away!
Thanks,
Mike
Mini update

Hi Folks!
While we are also continuing work on other things to get them ready for the printer, this update is just a mini update, pun intended!
Chad Hoverter has sent me some pictures of his first few miniature sculpts, which he crafts by hand. The process is so cool I thought I'd share it with you. This should also give you a good idea of what to expect as far as quality goes, this man is an epic sculptor!
Figuring out the box....

Try as we may, try as we might, to fit in the box, but it was too tight!
That's what we worked on tonight and after many struggles and attempts at different configurations, using various parts from different games, here is what we have come up with:
Our box is too small, we need a bigger one...
First we tried laying things out in a Nautilus Industries box, using the Dragon standees as place holders for the miniatures. I knew before we started that this box wasn't big enough but I thought we might just be able to go taller. Once we started though it became evident that it just wasn't going to work if we wanted space for everything in the box.
One of the things I love about the game Scythe is these neat plastic boxes that hold the resources. I have re-purposed them here with some Nautilus metal coins to see how they would fit in our box. They work so nice, fitting right in beside my proposed miniature tray. They also stay closed even if the game is flipped around, something even the best inserts don't always do.
What do you think of having 6 of these in the box for the coins and meeples? The cards and tiles would stand in a molded insert in one corner, and the dice would fit in the middle or could have their own little tray beside where the slayer minis would fit.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions please let me know, we are open to any ideas to make this as awesome as possible.
Because we are going to be going with a bigger box it will change how many can be packed into a single carton. This is going to change a few of the orders where people wanted multiples but we will work things out along side all of you.
